My Thoughts on Photography

The element I enjoy the most about photography is the discovery, the many hours spent exploring the complexities of obscure woodlands and quiet corners of the New Jersey Pinelands, in the hope of finding a rare and intimate scene that I can connect with.

Some early mornings I venture out in some beautiful foggy and earthy calm conditions to explore in my home base, Brendan Byrne State Forest or Edwin B Forsyth Wildlife Refuge, I hike through the forest,  never knowing what I might find……….

I have spent most of my life chasing light and color. I see things differently than most. This vision has become my work and has been influenced by Ansel Adams, Eliot Porter, Edward Weston , the list goes on .

When time allows, I try to transform wildlife and beautiful landscapes into visions of light, color and form. My medium is digital and my darkroom electronic; but my vision is forever breaking boundaries and conventions.
